Good show, and a stellar Richard Schaefer impression! I know Eric might still be looking for boxing writing gigs, but SNL might just be his next stop.
I still am amazed at the number of fans defending THE RING and the WBC for simply taking it upon themselves to make a ruling on the Hopkins - Dawson bout. You sort of expect it from the WBC who has always manufactured it’s own reality, but THE RING actually has set-in-stone rules that apparently aren’t so set in stone anymore.
I guess we’re seeing the effects of the “American Idol” generation, where popular opinion seems to define reality. If this is the case, I hope the new staff at THE RING starts changing historic results based upon general public opinion. I still would love to see the result of Chavez - Taylor I overturned…
